NURUOSMANİYE MOSQUE OUTER COURT FLOOR APPLICATION (RESTORATION) WORK

Nuruosmaniye Mosque was made of membrane material by the tradesmen around the outer courtyard floor covering, by one person every year. Traditionally, the floor of the outer courtyard of the mosques of the Ottoman period was made of marble. In the old photographs of Nuruosmaniye Mosque, the floor covering made of Marmara marble can be seen clearly. Within the scope of the study, the outer courtyard flooring was rebuilt from Marmara marble.
