TAKSİM MAKSEM BUILDING RESTORATION WORK
Taksim Maksemi is a building located at the intersection of Istiklal Street and Taksim Square in Beyoğlu, Istanbul. The name of Taksim Square comes from Taksim Maksemi, where Galata-Beyoğlu water used to be "divided".
Taksim Maksemi and Water Reservoir was built in Taksim in 1731 and during its period, the stream waters reached here through 25 km long pipe lines and accumulated, thus providing water distribution to the city.
Our restoration work has started in 2022 and our work is still continuing..
